Kasarne Burgan
Kasarne Burgan is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, with over 20 years experience in representing people who have been injured in accidents, or as a result of medical negligence.
She has expertise in all four main areas of personal injury compensation so you can rest assured your claim will be handled by an expert with many years of experience.
Kasarne is ranked as a pre-eminent and recommended Plaintiff-focused lawyer in the area of personal injury compensation in Doyle’s Guide in each of the past 6 years (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023).
Kasarne is known by her clients as being warm, caring and approachable. She makes the whole claims process as stress-free as possible so her clients can focus on the important things, like their rehabilitation and recovery.
David Bullock
David Bullock joined Burgan Lawyers in November 2022, after working at a large National personal injury law firm.
David has completed a Bachelor of Politics and International Relations in 2011, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies in 2017, a Juris Doctor in April 2018, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2019.
From working as a labourer and playing music in bars, to working at Parliament House and practising law, David knew early in his career that he wanted to help those in need. His exposure in various industries has helped him understand the unique physical and emotional demands of working life – whether on the job site or in the office. He understands that an injury serves as a constant reminder of the day that changed someone’s life, and that compensation is more than a dollar value. David prides himself on ‘being in your corner’ and fighting for the just outcome an injured person deserves. With experience in Workers Compensation and Compulsory Third Party claims, he is someone you can rely on to be there for you as you navigate the stressful claim and litigation process.
When David is not practising law, he plays guitar in a band locally, enjoys exercising, and being a dad to his beautiful daughter.
Joanne Maslowski
Joanne is Kasarne’s Personal Assistant and a very experienced senior legal assistant.
With over 30 years of experience as a legal assistant in personal injury claims, Joanne’s wealth of knowledge and insightful expertise significantly contributes to the firm’s success. Joanne worked for a number of a reputable personal injury firms prior to joining Burgan Lawyers in 2019. From working on claims in the Personal Injury Commission to tackling large and complex litigious matters in the Supreme Court, Joanne’s breadth of experience sets her apart in the modern legal landscape, where her three decades of expertise stand as a testament to her fabulous work ethic and love for this area of the law.
One of Joanne’s many strengths lies in her ability to understand and empathise with clients during difficult times. She is a favourite among our clients and is known for calming any nerves as they navigate the complex legal landscape.
