Industrial Deafness: WIRO now funding hearing aids only claims

Good news for victims of industrial deafness.
From 1 July 2020, WIRO will fund legal costs for a worker with industrial hearing loss to claim only hearing aids. Previously, WIRO would not fund the costs of a worker to obtain assistance from a lawyer with their claim for hearing aids, unless they also had a claim for lump sum compensation.
We are very pleased that Burgan Lawyers will now be able to assist workers with their claims for hearing aids, even if they do not have a lump sum claim for industrial deafness.
